The apartment is located on Ile Saint Louis where you will find 17th century architecture, modern boutiques, narrow streets and magnificent views from its tree-lined quays. The main street is « rue Saint Louis en Ile », which is filled with boutiques, old-fashioned bistros and brasseries, delicate chocolate and food shops, a florist, bakeries, a wonderful cheese shop and many pretty tea shops. There is also a Baroque church.
From Ile Saint Louis, it is possible to walk to many sights or take the metro to the Basilica of Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Le Marais, Le Centre Pompidou, Bastile area, Le Louvre Museum and Champs Elysées.
he closest metro stips are Pont Marie, Sully-Morland, St. Michel Notre Dame (which will take you to and from the Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports.
I stayed with my sister and 2 friends for 2 weeks in early October. What can I say - the position was perfect, the apartment was spacious, clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need, it was close to shops, metro, sights, etc. etc. Having stayed previously on Ile Saint Louis, I can not think of a better place to base yourself in Paris.
We stayed in this apartment for our second time this summer. We had everything we needed for our stay. We love this location - it is in a perfect, centrally located area for everything we want to do in Paris. There are delicious restaurants right around the corner in Sorza, L'Auberge de la Reine Blanche, and the St. Regis, which was the favorite of the whole family for lunch, dinner, and late night cocktails. We struggled with the air conditioning units, which was likely due to the fact that Americans are unfortunately more accustomed to cooler temperatures when using air conditioning, but luckily, the outside temperatures were cool enough to leave windows open in the evenings.
